Having been nominated by our partners at ASB (thanks guys!), the Hnry team flew up to Auckland last night to celebrate the best and brightest in the New Zealand Finance industry. Such an honour to have our work recognised, alongside national leaders and innovators in the sector.
A huge congratulations to all our fellow finalists, especially those in our category – Sharesies (twice over!) and Whai Rawa. We’re beyond amped to be in such good company.
“What’s special about this win is that we’re really getting recognised as a world first,” says James Fuller, Hnry co-founder and CEO. (We’re the only tool on the market that calculates, deducts, and pays sole trader taxes). “Hnry is saving sole traders time, money, and stress daily – it’s incredibly gratifying to have such a positive impact.”
Comments from the judges included acknowledgement of our “user first” proposition, making sure our service is based around actual need, as well as how quickly we’ve “scaled towards becoming a significant part of the Financial Ecosystem”.
The fact that we now process 1% of all New Zealand’s income tax is no small feat – especially considering we were a team of 10 just five years ago.
