About the Entry
I’ve been freelancing as an illustrator, props and costume designer and children’s book author for 40 years. It’s always a hustle, pulling that next rabbit out of your hat to make another buck, to pay the bills and keep on going; you have to be a magician. Sometimes you need a little help, or your act can fall apart and nobody is fooled. Money rather than medication is always preferable.
‘The Freelance Creative’ is from my sketchbook as a response to the Hnry Awards. If I had more time or money, I’d create the fluoxetine capsule in 3D print, sculpt the fingers and rabbit from foam and skin the rabbit in fur. It would be pretty godammed cool and use all of my talents.
